  • Horton NV Niagara

  • My favorite wine is Red Velvet by Cupcake. However, I just had the James River White by Williamsburg Winery and i’m anxious to enjoy that again soon :)

  • If I’m tasting 250 wines, someone better be there to carry me out of there! :) My favorite wines are only the classiest – Moscato and White Zinfandel – the cheaper, the better.

  • Malbec is my fave so is 1+1=3 from Spain. :)

  • I LOVE Peaks of Otter Winery!! Apple Truffle <3

  • Currently, I’m loving Chateau Ste Michelle Harvest Select Riesling. But, to be honest, my list of favs is really really long. And oh how I’d love to add more to that list by winning the Wine Excursion tickets!!!!

  • I love all white sweet wine..

  • My house white is Siefried’s, a fantastic SB out of New Zealand. Tied for first place is the late harvest SB from Honig in Napa. I visited their vineyard about 5 years ago and have been hooked ever since!

  • I am new to your site and was referred by Deb Allen, so will enjoy following you on Facebook. Winter favs are any good Rioja, Malbec or blend. Summer – whites – Vino verde, pinot grigio, chard… Elizabeth from Pedlar Mills Foods, makers of Ella’s Pepper Relish. Put some in your picnic basket with your wine, bread and cheese :)

  • It’s hard to pick a favorite (I will generally take whatever you want to pour for me), but I have found that I do like some Yellow Tail Pinot Grigio.

  • I like Smoking Loon shiraz.

  • Until I win the lottery I’m drinking a lot of Charles Shaw Cabernet, but I used to be quite fond of any red from Black Opal. Or Ravenswood!

  • When I lived in Boston my Dad bought me Casa Julia’s Cabernet Sauvignon mostly as a joke since it’s my name. It’s a Chilean wine and it’s absolutely delish! Only problem is – I can never find it down here in Richmond!

  • I absolutely love Malbec, but there’s this lovely Lavender Metheglin mead by Hill Top Berry Farm & Winery that is so delicious and interesting!

  • I love Virginia wines! One of my favs is New Kent Winery. The White Norton!

  • Barroursville–Cabernet Franc Reserve 2008

  • Hi Isa!! I have been subscribing to your blog through Facebook for awhile & love it! I agree with several of these posts, love Moscato (so happy Trader Joe’s sells it now!) and love VA wines; Sunset Medley (a strawberry wine) by Oakcrest, pretty much anything from Peaks of Otter, but definitely SweetHeart, fruit wines from Horton, but the Niagara is also delicious… We are so blessed to have a Trader Joe’s and to be so close to these yummy VA wineries!! ;)

  • WOW~250 wines to taste! I like a cabernet sauvignon or most reds. this summer i learned to like whites, preferably a sauvignon blanc. and even a good port! Prince Michelle & Horton have been my fav virginian vinyards. sure hope i get to come!!!
